The Stutterheim Raincoat – seen here in black. A hobby-come-design-project that began in Alexander Stutterheim’s attic, now fully realised, has arrived at oki-ni. Handmade in Sweden, Stutterheim raincoats are based on a coat found in a barn by Alexander’s Grandpa. A contemporary update of the original, the raincoat is a clean and minimalist shape, designed to be slim-fitting while creating a wearable and tailored silhouette. Made from rubberised cotton, the jacket is designed to combat the worst possible weather conditions. Each coat features ventilation eyelets under the arms, a copper press-stud fastening, a drawstring hood and two waist pockets. Being individually handmade, each coat is marked and signed by one of the three specialist seamstresses who make them. Handmade in Sweden from 100% rubberised-cotton and lined with 100% cotton- machine wash cool.
